Democracy Summer Fellowship applications are open!
Democracy Summer is a national fellowship program founded by Congressman Jamie Raskin and now co-chaired by Congressman Maxwell Frost. It brings together high school and college students who want to learn how organizing works — and how to use it to strengthen our democracy.
From June 22 through August 7, fellows will spend 10–15 hours per week working directly with the Frost campaign. Fellows gain hands-on experience with canvassing, phone banking, voter registration, and campaign events while helping build real grassroots power in Central Florida.
Throughout the summer, fellows will also participate in national virtual seminars with leading voices in democracy, voting rights, and social change — connecting young organizers across the country and learning from leaders who are shaping the future of our movement.

Since coming to Congress, we’ve built a year-round organizing program that invests directly in the next generation of leaders.
More than 100 Youth Organizing Fellows have already gone through our program — each one trained, mentored, and empowered to organize in their own communities.
Through comprehensive training, hands-on field experience, and one-on-one mentorship, our Fellows gain the real skills needed to create lasting change — from voter outreach and community organizing to leadership development and coalition-building.
We believe that true progress only happens when everyone has a seat at the table. That's why our fellowship program is designed to be accessible and equitable. By compensating our youth organizers, we respect their time and labor — and ensure that young people from all backgrounds can fully participate in building this movement.
